Exploitation
Sitting in the enemy’s capital, in the middle of a Cold War, a reluctant spy unit works under cover of a pay day loan company. They are supposed to be sucking in vulnerable sources, taking advantage of their desperate needs but when one of the underwriters finally tries to recruit someone, she finds the boss has been relying on only one source for a very long time, keeping back the funds that should be spread around. As the war heats up, they have to find a way to trust each other and actually get some vital information out.
Foothold
A lonely island, lost in the middle of a seemingly endless sea, has been torn apart of a grinding, generational civil war. Until on their shores arrives an amazing boat – explorers from a far off land, with more advanced weaponry, medicine, manufacturing and agricultural technology. They take in the land, all it’s troubles and decide to stop searching. “Lay down your arms and work with us to rebuild what you have ruined” they say “or we will summon our navy and lay waste to you both”.
Asking Permission
A novice producer paces anxiously around the expensive rented studio. They are about to put their core idea to the test – that being lucky and hard-working enough to get great at one thing doesn’t make you great at everything. And they are going to test this theory out on the recording of a heavily promoted collaboration track.
With two biggest singers of the moment – who have a complicated history together, starting in the same band. A distracted personal assistant and an incredibly compromised manger. A song writer near breakdown and a deeply sarcastic engineer. The producer has a night and a day to somehow turn all these conflicts into a 3 minute banger.
